I popped in alone one evening after work, having made it halfway through my long walk to the station and decided that I was feeling tired, faint and ready for emergency not-cooked-by-me food.
I can only give a very limited review, having just had tap water, a vegetable biryani and a masala tea, but I really enjoyed my meal. The biryani was very savoury and nommable, the water cold, the tea softly spicy, and the service faultless.
I can well imagine that there would be a different atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night, as observed by Tom E, but I was left in peace to read my book, and my fellow diners were well behaved. A couple of groups that left at theatre time and several pairs of what looked like friends catching up over post-work dinner. All rather civilised. Flowers and a candle on each table, pristine white walls and regal purple and gilt chairs.
It's true that this could be a curry house anywhere, and that the menu isn't going to blow your mind, but this is one I'd go to again. I think the prices are a tad inflated because of the location, but still not bad. -

We came here after there was a line out the door for another Indian restaurant we wanted to go to. The gentleman at the door was very nice and polite so we decided to give it a try.
The server we had barely spoke English and ordering was difficult. The food came out and it was ok, nothing great. When we got our bill, they charged us for a large size, despite not ordering that. When we asked them, they told us that is the size you got.
The service was bad and it explains why the restaurant was empty. I would recommend going elsewhere. -

Had I read the reviews I might have missed this little gem. I really enjoy Indian cuisine and coming from the states my hopes were high that I would be able to find some while on a work trip. I had the chicken jalfrezi with naan and pillow rice for lunch. It was deliciously spicy. The naan was a bit more crispy than I prefer but the rice was buttery and delicious.

I'm only giving it 2 stars bc the guy at the front door was so friendly. But, once we were seated, the experience went down hill. There was a bit of a language barrier, which is fine, but difficult. The food was mediocre at best. Our water glasses were never refilled without asking first. Very cold service, not friendly. With so many other choices in London, choose elsewhere.

worst experience. appetizer that they put out without asking was apparently not complimentary. food portions were small and was not even good, especially since we were overcharged. service was AWFUL. i cannot stress this enough!! servers randomly left while taking our orders. we had to ask for water glasses multiple times. they were not attentive and even when we requested our check after 20 minutes of respectfully waiting, we had to ask three (3!) more times before we finally went up to the server himself with our credit card in hand and forced them to let us pay. not to mention that they charged us for things we did not order and double charged us the listed prices. DO NOT COME HERE!! there are a thousand better Indian places in London, i would not even list this as a restaurant.
